“I just realized now that I have no thoughts and no emotions, it seems like. … I don't feel happy and I don't feel sad; I feel nothing. I am so confused because even at my darkest days when I felt "numb" I never felt like THIS. … I feel involuntarily asexual and kinda emotionless.”

Cause: After a year of severe depression (self-harm, suicidal thoughts, daily marijuana to quiet racing mind). At posting: productive/gym, off weed, no awful anxiety — but new state of no thoughts + no emotions. Does not name prescription meds as cause; wonders if prior self-repression/habits caused it. Not benzo/Accutane.
Duration: noticed at Dec 2018 posting (after ~1 year depression course); duration of blank+numb state itself not quantified beyond 'now'
Recovery notes: Single OP post + one peer reply suggesting numbness may be part of wellness journey / see psychiatrist. No OP follow-up found this pass.
