“I been dealing with a blank mind for a little under three years now.I have no thoughts in my head nothing gets me thinking or feeling.nothing gets any emotion out of me … I have no emotion. … they put me on medication and it made it worse … it didn’t help my thoughts or emotions come back. … a year ago I had a time where my thoughts and emotions came back fully momentary then after … it was like a window and time that complete shut on me.”

Cause

Hdrhhg (Austin, age 20 at post): prior extreme social anxiety from middle school; cannabis use with panic then thoughts separating/vanishing; later hospital psych ward (~8 months before posts) + unnamed meds made state worse and did not restore thoughts/emotions. Onset of blank+numb ~3 years before Oct 2022 (anxiety stopped then).

Duration

~3 years at Oct 2022 (blank mind + no emotion); brief windows (~10 min depression; 1 day happiness) then back to nothing.

Recovery notes

Last known still blank/no emotion. Hospital meds: awful side effects, did not bring thoughts/emotions back. Occasional short windows then closed. Same first-person also cross-posted into older MHF blank-mind thread 63167.
